Bear Creek Marina

 

Bear Creek Marina is located on Lake James in the little community of Nebo, North Carolina, and is a shared resource of the surrounding cities of Marion and Morganton. Commanding national recognition as one of America's best small cities is nearby Asheville, North Carolina.

Bear Creek Marina hosts a variety of things to enjoy. You can go water skiing, sailing, fishing, jet skiing or simply relaxing. Every direction reveals a breathtaking vista of surrounding mountains--Table Rock, Grandfather Mountain, and Hawksbill.  Amenities include tennis courts, beach area on Lake James, and three fishing ponds (no license required). The Marina includes a full service bar and grill, clean restrooms and an on-site store for supplies.

We offer a lake front on-site log cabin and camp sites which include water and septic. Located only a short distance from the many activities Western North Carolina has to offer this is the perfect spot for a weekend get-a-away or family vacation. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore House, Asheville's rich cultural influence, and Grandfather Mountain are just a few of the many interesting destinations for any adventure lover.

the dock pumps and an attendant on duty during the summer weekends. Credit card payments can be accepted 24/7 all year long.

Rental Cabins

Summer rates:

$125 per night Sun-Thurs. $150 per night Fri. & Sat. Weekly rate - $825

BOAT SLIPS AVAILABLE NIGHTLY WITH CABIN RENTALS

  • NIGHTLY CAMPSITE RENTALS $39.00
  • ANNUAL CAMPSITES $2500 & $3500

To reserve a cabin, a deposit of one night or 25%, (whichever is greater) must be paid in advance with a credit card.We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover.

An additional $50.00 will be charged as a security deposit, refundable AFTER checkout, and after the cabin has been cleaned and checked for damages. Damages will be taken out of the security deposit. Damages exceeding the deposit will be charged to your credit card.

Cancellations

If you call to cancel your reservation prior to 10 days before the date of arrival, the deposit will be refunded except for $25.00 per cabin. If you cancel within 10 days of the date of arrival, the deposit is forfeit, and will not be refunded. If you don't show or leave without informing the office, the entire balance of the reservation will be charged. The cancellation fee will be applied if you shorten your reservation upon or after arrival.
